in times like these - the middle of winter. white and gray slush and sky. nothing but neutral colors all around. in times like these i need some color. some rose, lime, and sunset orange. some umph to push me through these last few months of chilly winter.
looking back through these pictures from june and july (and some august) i can help but smile, remembering the trips to the local beaches with my friends and family, the vibrant tastes of raspberry pie, and the cool rush of lake water.
of course winter has its positive aspects: the crystal snow, red robins against white, and hot tea. but boy am i ready to break out of this ice castle. if summer was all the time - i would be afraid of taking it for granted....
winter makes just summer all that more enjoyable
